- Obey all rules and regulations of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Safety and sanitation rules are to be followed at all times.
- Be pleasant and courteous at all times and have respect for others.
- Cosmetology Manicurist is taught in English; therefore, English will be spoken in the classroom and lab.
- Vulgar language and inappropriate topics will not be tolerated. Watch what you say around customers, instructors, visitors and fellow students.
- Never allow the room to become disorderly. Students are responsible for cleaning up their own mess.
- Perform work assigned to you, take instructions readily and follow directions. Be enthusiastic about your work and work willingly.
- Students must be well groomed and clean at all times. This includes looking professional and in decent attire at all times. Students will be in school uniform as prescribed by The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
- Treat others as you would want others to treat you. Students should be honest with each other and their teachers. Respect each others property and all instructional materials provided by the department.
- Students are responsible for the textbooks assigned to them. They should be kept in the best possible condition. Books are not to be taken home.
- Be prepared for class. Have your books, kit, notebook, pen, etc. ready for class every day.
- No horseplay or running in the classroom, lab or hall at any time.
- Gum chewing will be allowed only when it is chewed properly. No blowing bubbles or smacking gum.
- Students must have permission before leaving the classroom.
- Eating in classroom only when allowed. No food or drink in the lab area.
- Students will start cleaning up at 11:30A.M. for morning students and 3:45 P.M. for afternoon students.
- Cell phones are not allowed in the classroom or lab without permission. If used without permission these devices will be confiscated and held in the office. A $15.00 administrative fee may be charged before the device can be released.
